Recently the temp on the old trusty work horse has been climbing. Recently hit 240 and thought oh ****. Thought it might be a blown head, but the oil and coolant look normal. Anyone experienced in some of the aftermarket radiators for increased cooling? Noticed the temps start to climb this summer after a recent lift (3") and tires (31").
I have seen 1, 2, and 3 row versions with pricing all over the map. Was thinking a 2 or 3 row might help out. Any good prices out there for these radiators?

If you're going to install a new radiator, go at least 2 row, and go all metal. 3 row if you're wheelin it.
A good time to review ALL components. That includes along with the radiator, the radiator cap, the water pump, the fan clutch, the serpentine belt, the thermostat, and all hoses.
There is NO better money spent than that spent on cooling system maintenance.
Good luck!

I just went through this with mine. Replaced the fan clutch then i noticed i was losing coolant little by little with no trace of where it was going. It started overheating worse one day on the way home from work then I found water in the oil. I just replaced the the head, head gasket and water pump but it still gets hot at idle. i found the aux electric fan wasnt working, traced it to an open ground in the wiring so now its at the shop so they can figure it out.

I noticed mine was running warm a few weeks ago. Just put in a 3 row all aluminum radiator from radiatorbarn.com. Now my jeep won't go above 210. Stays slightly below it or right at it if really hot. Now if I'm getting on it a ton it will start to go over but not by much. Can't wait to see how it does wheeling. It cost me a little under $200. But so worth every penny.

Just installed a 2 row from auto parts warehouse for $120 seems nice so far it was over 100 here today and it never went above 210
I also removed all the old ac lines and condenser that was in front of the radiator that alone should in theory improve cooling a little bit
Well see how good it dose out in the woods

I put a 3 row csf radiator in today from radiator barn, water pump, thermastat, all new hoses and new radiator cap. Ran the a/c all day while driving it and it barely went above 210.
