running a little differently today
My 92 xj ran hotter today, as well as the oil pressure fluctuating like crazy between idling/moving. is there a problem with this?

What temp is the coolant at? Average is around 200-210
As for oil pressure, by design you will have fluctuation between idle and higher rpms.
The oil pressure spec for the 4.0 is as follows. If you are in this range, you're okay.
*Not less than 13 psi at HOT idle
*Between 37-75 psi over 1600 rpms
