Bought the XJ in October, I did new hoses and a T-stat in the middle of Winter to keep it running, and a full flush of the system, that's it. Just bought a new Radiator and Water pump today. I found out it is the water pump, when idling or really low speed it would "freeze up" and not circulate fluid. Then when I'd rev it higher and drive normally it would free up and circulate and the temp would fall like 40 degrees.
