Default Running Hot

So my 95 xj is running hot constantly. By hot I mean maybe 230. Ive checked all hoses and by my dads request I pulled the thermostat out and ran it without it and it still gets hot. Fan shroud is in place, efan works, PO replaced radiator a few years before we got it. Anyone got any ideas cause im about out. Thanks in advance.

First thing you need to do is put a t stat back in. It need to be a 195deg. Then you need to check you fan clutch. Also you need to give your cooling system a good flushing.

Ok will do the tstat tomorrow. The fan clutch seems to be working just fine right now. Thats whats really catching me with this. Ill do a flush next time I can get around to it. Also my exhaust manifold is cracked. Could the escaping exhaust be heating up the engine?

Ill work on changing it out soon. And I missed your question about when it overheats. Its usually sitting but after running awhile its hot no matter when

Would that still explain why it still gets hot running too?

removing the tstat to see how fast it overheats is ok, x2 on the water pump and flush the system. I dont want to scare you but my 95 would overheat really fast to the red, like in under 5 mins, replaced everything and still overheated. At wits end, drained all coolant, ran it for a min or two and pulled the rad hose and it was pressurized. Pulled the head and the motor had been so overheated it cracked the head. but thats like worse case scenario
