Default run extra lights through door chime

i'm going to be rewiring the lights on my jeep. this time i want to run them through the door chime so if i forget to turn them off i will get the warning.

I looked through the wiring diagrams in my haynes manual but i didn't see anything about the chime. is it a separate piece or is it built into the head light switch? anyone know?

??? rewired my lights and it always chimes when the stock light switch is pulled, you must of done some funny wiring to it. Simply splice into the stock wiring harness at the airbox and use the signal from the stock wires to trigger your new relays and thus power your lights.

oh, then you just have to tie the relay signal into the chime thingy on the interior fuse panel before the switch. You will need a schematic for that.

edit: or make the aux lights only turn on when the head lights are on.

If you are just worried about leaving your lights on and killing your battery. Just wire it to to a circuit that shuts off when the key is off.
