Default Rubbing stock on 30's

I have 30" BFG Mud Terrains on my stock XJ. When I turn the wheel about a half a turn each way it rubs the bottom of the front bumper. I was thinking of trimming the bumper a little bit or just waiting until I get my BB in about two weeks. Should I start trimming or hang on til the BB?

That depends on how much you drive it or at least plan to drive it until the BB in a few weeks. I would hold off if possible but if you drive it a lot then that may be impractical.
Ultimately it is your call.

If you do plan to trim, it's easy to do it without it being totally obvious. I had the same rubbing spot so i cut:

Default 30 rub

do you guys think I can run a 31x10.50x15 on a stock Cherokee Xj with 79,000 miles on it and just trim as you did? I hate to go the lift route just for street use. this tire is a basic all season kelly safari a 265/75 R15

I had mini black n decker sawzall. The orange battery operated one. Pretty neat little tool. It chopped it right off. You could use a dremel or cutoff wheel but i hate those on plastic cuz they sling the melted goo at you and it burns or sticks to everything. But any will work

Not really. Maybe on the older cherokees but not the 97+. They will rub.
