Rubber shroud under Jeep?
There is a rubber shround that is wadded up under my 97 Cherokee 4x4. Looks like it was supposed to cover the bottom of the engine compartment. Where can I buy a relacement? Is it even necessary?
Thanks,

You know, my train of thought after popping the three front tabs out on mine was "why do I need this?" And then I realized that my engine would probably get covered in so much crap that I wouldn't be able to tell where the head ended and the valve cover began.

I didn't even know there was such thing, mine came from the PO without it, been just fine. I've covered the engine in mud andit still ran just as good, maybe 2-5* hotter.

Most guys just leave em off after they get torn off.
That being said, they do help keep the crap from infiltrating the engine compartment.
Not sure where you would get this item other than from the dealer.

My son took his off of his 1989 2 years ago. No problems. My 1998 was 'removed' 6 years ago while off-roading. No problems since.
Yes, they do help with air flow and keeping crap off your engine, but they are not really necessary.

Jeremiah - thats exactly what I pulled off my jeep. It was half dragging on the ground and ripped, so i pulled it off. I have had no issues with it being off.
