Default That rubber fuel line between the fuel rail and the line back to the tank...

Damn thing tried to explode on me today!
Could anyone tell me the correct internal diameter of that hose please? The one I have on there was a replacement for an old rotten one and I think it's too big. I'll take the existing one down to the parts store tomorrow but I'd like to have the right number if anyone has it.

The good news was that when the pipe popped off, it ran fuel directly into the KnN cone filter and killed the engine almost straight away.

For anyone searching, I bought some 5/16ths hose and that seems to fit OK. I could have had 7mm or 8mm ID but something sized in inches seemed most likely for a car built in the USA.

You used fuel line rated for fuel injection, right?

I know that feeling of using inches for pipes. I had to order heater hose online as our part supplier only do set metric sizes.

These are... good points! lol.
I'll double check the hose spec, and dig out/buy two more clamps.
Thank you!

lol yes! And just for fun the jubilee clip was also Made in USA so the correct size socket was 9/32. I have one but I was expecting 8mm which would have chewed it up.

I've heard the reason you guys drive on the left is so 2 passing knights would have their sword arms available to use if necessary. So since Britania ruled the waves, ships must pass starboard-to-starboard. AND since we rebelled, of course we did it differently, except for the ship bit.

And then there was the French!

BTW, I just bought 1/4" fuel hose for my lawn tractor and all they carry anymore is high pressure stuff.

Good news on the high pressure hose

Here's a good link about driving on the left/right. I thought it was to do with Romans and keeping your whip hand away from pedestrians... but I think it's mainly lost in the mists of time now!

The good way to tell it's high pressure is if it's got reinforcing cord in it or not.

Your video shows why driving on the right was so popular with the teamsters controlling their horses while watching wagons passing for clearance. Makes sense.

There you go Cruiser54 😀
Double clamped with brand new, made in England Jubilee clips in 316 stainless. Double the price but still cheaper than new shorts.
Thanks for the advice.

Don't you mean some being standard and some being imperial?

On my 96, that is a solid metal tube that goes down under the intake manifold and quick clip connects to the line from the gas tank. Maybe you want to check the parts catalogue and make sure.
