Hey guys so I have an issue here. Say i'm getting on the highway, car shifting thru gears speed increasing and once I reach around 55 MPH the car shifts and rpm stay at around 1700 if i keep accelerating rpms slowly climb until 2200 then rev back down to 1700. If I step on it rpms move past 2200. If i get on the highway but I gun it, is fine, until i let of the gas and rpms go to 1700 and does the same thing. Im at a lost, im planning a 1000 mile trip soon. help

 

Sounds like the torque converter is going into lock up mode just like it's designed to.
