My engine made it up to 380,000 miles without having to more then clean out the valve cover and replace the tensioner. Should I bother fixing it or throw in a whole new engine altogether? I've looked into trying to find another engine but its proven near impossible to find. Any advise?

 

There are alot of engines,it would help if we knew which one you have.

 

380K isnt shabby for a I6

 

Its the stock engine. 4.0L high output straight six. the one that they all came with. Nothing special. I've tried looking for a rebuild but I just cant' find one.

 

How about a 94 model block for free. You would have to reuse your head and accessories. It has around 140K miles on it and rotates with ease and no knocks. All you have to do is come pull it in Nashville.

 

pull it and build a stroker!!
