rocker panel repair
hello i am looking to get my first jeep soon. i found one that has rust on the rocker panels but has a low price. i was wondering how hard it is to put a new rocker on. i have access to a shop that has all the metal working tools i would need although i do not know how to weld but i can have some one do it for me. is it as straight forward as ordering a replacement panel cutting out the rust and then welding the new piece in. what are good sites to get the replacment panel. i was thinking about painting the parts i cut with bedliner. after welding. here is the jeep so you guys can see what im looking at. http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/3688407783.html.
thank you for any help.

Give the floorpans a good inspection. Start looking above the Cat converter and check the whole pan on both sides.
When the rockers go the floorpans often do as well. It's a common rust point. Also the areas where the front leaf spring mounts attach. That isn't a fun repair.
There are several places that offer replacement rockers. Classic2Current Fabrication comes to mind. It isn't terribly difficult to do provided you have access to a welder or someone who can.
