Rocker arm lubrication question
I have a 2000 Sport. I just replaced the head (cracked 0331), new crank and rod bearings, new oil pump, all the gaskets, etc. etc.
My oil pressure is back to normal, +15 at hot idle.
When at idle, several of my rockers don't seem to be getting oil. How much should I be expecting? I haven't rev'd it to see if the flow increases.
Just curious, I don't want to toast anything and was hoping some of you would have some ideas.

I have coffee running through my veins. The heart attack was due to the flat out sprint I had to do from my wife when she read "Oh ****!"
She likes my jeep, HATES the 'tinkering' I do. I always manage to spend significant dollars.
Any thoughts? After watching closely for a while, 5 rods appear to not be flowing. Lifters clogged? I cleaned the pushrods before assembling.

How did you torque them down?
You're supposed to start with the number 1 cylinder intake at TDC, then torque to spec. Each one has to be at TDC.
So you do cylinder 1, then turn the crank a little and do cyl 5,3,6,2,4. You follow the firing order. You can tell because both rocker arms will be exactly level.
I installed YT 1.6's and did it that way, haven't had a problem since.
Also remember to tighten back and forth. Don't just torque one all the way down and then do the other. You need to bounce back and forth evenly until the TQ bar breaks on both without allowing any more torque, then move on to the rest.
As long as you did that you shouldn't have a problem.
You oiled up the lifters before reinstalling correct?

After looking at the video I have to admit those look entirely too dry and metallic.
I looked at mine last week and they're constantly covered in oil. If I give it any throttle I get oil slung all over me (from the engine bay).
I wouldn't run it at all until someone gives better advice. The last thing you want is a cam to wipe out on the bottom of the lifters. Then you have to pull the engine to replace the cam with all new lifters. Hopefully the metallic shavings wouldn't stuck into any of the bearings requiring further work to be done... either to the crank (needing to be reground) or the cam bearings, requiring new cam bearings to be installed by a machine shop.

installed new lifters?? could be clogged or not seated properly on the lifter when u torqued down
if u didnt torque rockers down properly, maybe there's a momentary gap between the rod & rocker, & could be why u'r not seeing oil on the rocker
....just throwin out ideas
