Received my new NTK 23553 for my 89 xj 4.0 today. They are definitely different. I’ve confirmed that the part number is correct and the electrical connection is correct just really curious about the tips being different. Maybe it doesn’t matter, but thought I would throw this out there so see if I get any feedback. Thanks guys and Happy Father’s Day.

 

Probably just newer technology to do the same job. I'd give it a shot.
