right brake light.. Nightmare?
I Have a little electrical bug in my 92 xj right brake light. When the lights are off both brake lights and tail lights work fine. When the lights are on the taillights work until you hit the brakes, then the right light goes out completely. Taillight and the brake light, any suggestions? I don't know where to start, hope something simple! All help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

I had a similar experience with my Acura a few years back. The culprit ended up being a fried bulb. What basically happened was on a dual filament bulb (brake light bulbs in many cars) had somehow melted both filaments into each other. So every time one light tried to go on, it was shorting out the other light.
You may want to check your bulbs for this first. Make sure the dual filament bulbs are still separate and haven't melted into each other. To be honest, I am not sure if Cherokees even use those, but it's a good place to start if so.
