Default Revolver Shackles

I'm planning way out. But I'm thinking when I add armor on to my XJ. The suspension will have a little sag in it. So I'm exploring shackles for the rear. For the front. I've looked at replacing springs. Or spacers. Or the coil over setup.
Anyone out there try the Revolver Shackle? Any negative side effects to it?
Please only chime in with facts. Not just stuff you've heard.

IOWA! Is there a "Best" Shackle out there? All the designs look the same.
I've got measurements written down now. So when time does come where I'm putting bumpers on. I'll measure sag. Then I'll get the size shackles and spacers to compensate for that sag to level me out in the front and rear.

x2, they don't give you any lift but they increase downward wheel travel.

what you could do is make your own.

Make a shackle relocation box like POSJeepXJ made:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/sh...rection-42983/

But what you do is use 2 standard lift shackles.

When you make the box, you make it to where the first shackle mounts forward and to where the end of the shackle sits where it would normally mount. Then you mount the other shackle to that one.

I better explain it in paint....

I have seen it work rather well on a few vehicles.

Alot cheaper too....

Hell no! I'm from Fort Madison. Not too far from where your at.
Still got family back there. On the west side of the state though.

Man, POSJeepXJ has more skill then I do when it comes to fab work. I don't know how to torch anything but a cigarette or a bong.
