Default Reverse Lights not working?/Odometer rolls backwards

Hey guys Liam here again, 94 jeep cherokee sport

Another issue I am having is that my reverse lights don't work. The bulbs are new but they don't go on. Any ideas?

The other issue that I am having is that my odometer rolls backwards! Its good for me because technically my car is getting younger ;D I'm just kidding. But do you guys have any ideas why it's rolling backwards? Thanks guys!!

Don't know about the odometer problem but your back up light issue could be the NSS(neutral safety switch)on the transmission. Here are a couple of MANY links. Thought I saw a recent post that had a video of it. I'm sure you can find one on You Tube if need be.

Most of the time they can be refurbished although one poster here did have one that the contacts were shot. If need be just get one at the salvage yard.

I've bought 2 of them after breaking the original while trying to get it off. Both from eBay. One was very cheap, like $35 and failed within 8 months. The other was a little more expensive, around $55 or so, and came with a 10 year warranty so I gave it a shot. Over a year now and so far so good.
