reverse lights coming on when door is opened

reverse lights coming on when door is opened
Having a slight issue with my lights.
When I open any door, my reverse lights are coming on but they are dim. They come on whenever my interior lights are on. today I noticed that the rear hatch light was also not coming on and when I looked into the fixture the switch was completely melted and was black and burnt. I want to make sure that I don't have any other shorted wires because I don't want my cherokee to have an electrical fire. I currently don't have any burnt out fuses either. I do also have a problem with my neutral safety switch, but I disconnected it and it is still giving me the same symptoms.
Anyone have any thoughts I'm all ears, thanks in advance.
