Hi all, i'm trying to hook upp a tachometer on my jeep its a older cherokee chief from 1980 converted with a 4.0L from an x j( i think) not sure because i bought the car like that.
i think the engine is from about 1992 (it has a aluminum valve cover) an the ignition coil is placed on the same side as the distributor it has 2 wires a green with stripe and a yellow
i spliced the green one from the tacho into the green with stripe from the coil red on+ black on -
When i start the car it jumps upp to max and back again and then nothing.
googeld around but can't find a solution.
I don't know from witch year or car the wiring harness comes, what did i wrong?
Greetings from Sweden /Nils
