Smile request of help from CHILE

Hi dear friends:
I have a 2000 classic cherokee jeep and have following details:
1.- my instrument panel is 100% dead (this is what most gets me worried).
2.- sometimes on the road it has little quakes on the run ; sometimes engine stops but starts inmediately at ignition
3.- I removed thermostat and engine is "direct"

thanks for your advise.

Fulvio from Chile:

might be best to get a replacement cluster. Maybe off eBay or a junkyard. On the other issues, might be a good idea to give the jeep a tune up.

Fulvio from Chile:
Hi to Chile,
1) I would check the fuse, some times they look ok when they're not so check it by putting in a new fuse.
2) Check the ground strap that runs from the engine to the firewall. Remove it from both ends and clean up the contact points on the strap, the engine and the firewall.
3) Replace the thermostat with a new one. Our Jeep engines like to run between 200 - 210 degrees. Jeeps are engineered to run at those temps
