when i did this jpb on our 88 xj the axle nuts was my biggest issue they wouldnt budge with an axle socket and 1/4 breakerbar using my weight and ended up going to a shop and asked them to losen them up and back on for 10$ i had the center caps removed so the nuts were easy access without taking the wheels off this was worth 10$ for me. only other problem was getting the hub out after the bolts were out still very tight in the knuckle, as said before PB blaster is your friend.

Removing hub --- Socket/bolt trick. Use the power steering to pop the hub out. This works beautifully and is well documented on the inter-webs.

It was that same time that I also had trouble with the axle nut. I ended up going out and buying the electric impact that I still use today to try and get it off and it was still a PITA.
Fast forward to the last few days, in under an hour I had the wheels off and both axles out (connected to the hubs since I wasn't replacing them) in under an hour.
