I love my newest XJ but one of the only problems it came with was the starter solonoid is starting to go. Every now and then I need to bang on it a couple times with a hammer but it always fires up. I don't have to do this very often but there is obviously a problem.
I just want to know is about how long should this take. I am familiar with engine and trans work and have put on suspention lifts so I am fairly mechanically savy but I have never had to deal with a starter on any one of my Jeeps. Is it a big deal or is it the typical 2 bolts, some wires and pull it out? Or is there insp. plates to worry about or other things in the way?
Thanks

Why are you asking the same question twice? It's extremely simple. Get under the jeep and look at it. You need a 15mm, 14mm, and a 10 or 8mm socket. Disconnect the battery and unbolt the starter.
