My 97 had over a 1/4 tank of old fuel. It has a rough idle, but past idle is ok. I have been letting it run alot, and flushing out the radiator with alot of water every evening. I can add some fresh fuel now, hope it runs better....
Got rid of the birds nest, hickory nuts, etc.

However, you need to be more specific-- like what issue are you talking about.

PCMs cannot be "reprogrammed". At most, they can be "reset".

In many cases, they can be repaired with basic soldering skills, patience to remove the potting compound and inexpensive components.

At least, not without a $2000 DRBIII Scan Tool.
