Is there a write-up anywhere? I've got a leaky cylinder on one of my rear drums and I want to swap it out this weekend.

It is really quite easy. Just need to remember where all the small parts go and bleed the new cylinder.

Ive been working on mine, only do one side at a time, so you can always look at the other side to make sure it looks right. If you replace one side you probably should do the other too, but then you also should do the pads, and possibly the drums depending on their condition.
Not too hard just a pain in the *** if you don't have the right spring tools. I used needle nose pliers and vice grips to remove the different springs. It really isn't hard at all, just keep track of where everything goes, I know I had my Haynes manuel for that.

Cool. I will give it a try... it's a bit intimidating at first when you open up the drum. But as long as I am able to keep my eyeballs away from flying springs, I think I should be able to pull it off.

Do one side at a time. Go to Sears and get some drum brake tools for $20 and keep the vise grips handy too. Take your time and pay close attention to details. OR, if you're just doing the wheel cylinders, unbolt the cylinder and line and have a stong-fingered friend spread the shoes apart while you ****** the cylinder out and do the same to put it back on.
