I need to find a thread that will explain how to change my door locks. basically, my passenger front window motor wont work and two nights ago my drivers side front window crapped out too. they both wont go up or down and rather then pay to get all that fixed I found a guy on craigslist parting out his xj. he has the same year, color, trim, and power windows that I have. but before I buy them I need to know that I can swap out the door locks with the ones that are on my car now.
if anyone has seen a good thread on this please give me the link, I cant seem to find one.

how much would a motor be do you think? and my passenger one is for sure broken. the drivers one I will be looking at as soon as I have a day off but it seem to be stuck. it wont go up or down and when I try and push it up or down myself it wont budge. I opened it up to look and its still on the tracks. no obstructions.

To replace the door locks all you have to do is
- remove the door panel
- remove a clip that holds the lock in the door
- remove the actuating rod
- slid out the lock cylinder
It's that easy.

For $7.95 you can buy a FSM for your year Jeep in a PDF. format. Cheap investment that will pay for itself the first time you use it, you can print what parts of it you need also in color if needed to have for a job in the shop.
They cover everything in and on your Jeep.
