Default Replacing carpet with bed liner.

Hey, I am, somtime in the near future, going to pull out the carpet in my 98 Classic. I want to put either a roll-in or a spray-in bed liner inplace of it. I dont know which is better. Brand, price, or any tips? And is there anything else I should know about before I start like wires to hide or any wiered stuff? Pics of a finished floor would be great. Thanks

Being your first post and all I'd like to first welcome you to the forum. Secondly, you really should search this in the forum because there is literally tons of information about it. Don't forget to check the build threads. They're a great place to hang out anyway, but you'll surely find a completed bedliner project.

X2. I've considered doing this for a while as well (original '87 carpet) but I wonder how much it affects cab noise, acoustics, and the annoying bottle of brake cleaner's rolling resistance in the back seat's floorboards. I'm considering AstroTurf...

i just replaced the headliner and carpet in mine, before I got it replaced I had the chance to drive it,without the carpet and headliner it sounded like and felt like a cold can,it rattled, was noisy and was not what I would call comfortable.
I think liners are ok if you are offroad all the time.

have you gotten all of it out yet? I unbolted everything( seats, belts and console) then used a screw driver to take off the molding and stuff, then used a razor knife and heavy duty scissors and cut and tore all of it out. I didn't care because I knew it wasn't going back in so I ripped in and cut it in pieces and sections

I knew i would have to take out my whole interior. I've already had the back carpet rolled up to the back seats when I replaced the rear shocks, it came up easy. Is it glued in the floor up front or anywhere? And are there any wires under the carpet?

line it then put the carpet back in. keeps rust away if you happen to get water inside, and still sounds sorta quiet on the street. My 2 cents
