Default replacement pulley or different belt????

has anyone ever pulled their ac compressor out and bought a bracket with just a pulley on it to replace it and eliminate the ac compressor?? if so where did you get the bracket??

or has anyone ran i smaller belt that doesnt go to the ac compressor just goes straight from the alternator to the fan? if so what size belt is that ..

or did someone do anything else similar?

thanks in advance
