Default Replacement bulbs? 100 watt or 55 watt?

Alright guys, got me some new lights (Warn 650D) as a christmas present. Installed them (which was a *****) and loved them for about 3 days... when one of the bulbs blew.. Now I cant decide whether to get 55W or 100W bulbs? they're both H3 bulbs and the fitment is the same. My only concern is the draw they will have and if my wires will hold up. Im somewhat of a shade tree electrician, however bulbs are not my strong point. Any insight? I'd rather not burn anything up in my new lights lol

The first issue to address is why the bulb blew after just 3 days. I would check all wiring because that is not normal. The last thing you want to do is spend money on new bulbs just to blow them in a few days. So far as running 100w bulbs, do you know what gauge wire the kit came with? As you stated you will need to make sure the harness can handle the increase draw from the 100w bulbs.
Those are really nice lights by the way. And wireless ehh. Can't say I have ever installed wireless lights lol.

oh the reason it blew wa because I forgot to crimp a connecton and it grounded out lol. Seems to be pretty thick gauge wire in the kit, is the difference in the 55 and 100 THAT much? Is it like doubling the pull of the lights? The kit came with a relay, so the switch shouldn't be effected. And the wireless switch is AWESOME! I just wish it mounted on my keychain. My only concern is when the batterys in the remote die and my lights are stuck on lol

I did change out my 55w with 100w and the are working just fine for almost a year now. But I do have some pretty heavy gauge wire on mine.
I have seen the wire less lights and would like to try some. How hard were they to install?

Oh it's very simple. Everything mostly comes pre wired and ready to drop in. Only difference in wireless and not is the control box. to be completely honest you could probably easily wire in one of those boxes into any lights with no problems.

you may want to contact warn and see if those housings can take the heat from a 100w bulb, as well as the socket and wiring. They came with 55w bulbs for a reason I'm sure.

put in the 100 watts, a little brighter with no overheat problems. casing is all metal so the housing will hold up fine. Thanks guys
