Default replaced injector o-rings no run

Hey guys.....just joined today. Great site.

89 cher. base 4.0 replaced inj. o rings today cause had leaking & got her all back together cranked right up but choked real quick (2 mins) with some smoke from tailpipe. that 2 min. run was pretty ruff too.
Checked all hoses & fuel in/return & EVERYTHING I had disc. to replace inj. o rings & everything is in order.
Was running fine up until I replaced o rings just leaking around a couple of em so I replaced all 6.
I switched key to "on" about 5 or 6 times (to prime) & she tried to start ONCE........to no avail.
I'm NO mechanic........but any thoughts?
thanks

I'm betting the hose/pipe from the throttle body to the MAP sensor on the firewall got messed up.

Did you mark each injector connector with its number before disconnecting them, then get them back on in order?

Yes I marked em & they were replaced in the correct position.

I since found # 5 to be leaking quite a bit. I found a site that sells a set of 6 rebuilt (bosch) injectors with lifetime warrt. for $129 with no core replacement so I think I'm gonna put them in.
I'm also gonna go ahead & replace the fuel regulator while I'm there.
I checked the hose/pipe to the MAP sensor as C54 suggested & it's ok.
Hope this does it.

I think you're taking the correct route. The stock injectors were prone to leaking externally and causing engine bay fires.

We don't need any Jeep-B-Cues!!!

Expect better idle quality and smoother acceleration/throttle respnse, but the same mileage.
Be sure to liberally oil the new o-rings upon installation.
