Yes I have an it didn't make a difference... The resistor is not broken in two the plastic around the coil has just deteriorated... It still has continuity though... It does need to be replaced obviously but I don't thing that is what's causing it to not run... But u never answered what the resistor is exactly for?

And I suppose you can see why we were concerned that it might have been a problem. It wouldn't be the first time someone broke one or knocked the wires off/loose changing an air filter.
Perhaps the air filter changing is pure coincidence and sent us down a rabbit trail. . Why don't you check the fuel pressure at the rail with a gauge?
Yes thank u sthon so if I cut it out and wire it through it won't burn up the pump or anything I have read on other things where this is an issue... And yes cruiser that is my next check was suppose to pick up a gauge yesterday but got side tracked hopefully get it in a few... It pretty much has come down to that is the problem I have the volume if gas just don't think I have the pressure... I think it was just a coincidence that it all happened when I changed the filter and it was raining out... Thanks for yours guys help this forum is awesome! Will reply with fuel pressure results and go from there!

You'll be fine. They came from the factory originally without the resistor. It was only added to quiet down the fuel pump hiss/buzz noise.

What r u talking about this is paint not mud incase u missed that... If u look at it u can see that the previous owner sprayed the wheel wells and fenders with a green zinc primer of some sort and its now flaking off... Idk what ur engine bay looks like but my rig gets put to work not to worried about how pretty the engine bay is
