If you do replace the complete compressor find out what else you have to replace. Most place require that you replace other parts along with the compressor to have a warranty and if you don't replace them you will not be covered if the compressor fails.

His A/C system is once more, wait for it: DISCHARGED.

He asked and I replied, to him, thx.
I'm sorry , and you are...?

Did I quote anything you said in my post?
Was there anything directed to anything you had said anywhere?

I was fully aware of the discharged system.
Heaven forbid anyone try to offer a differing opinion after you have spoken. After all even light can't beat the gravity of a singularity.
So that must make you invisible right?

Fair enough. It's always been your decision to make.

Ya, thanks for the help and the input. I'm just at the point where I work such long days that is rather spend a little more for piece of mind than get tied up down the road spending my time off screwing around with a failed part.

If you have a local Advance Auto parts store in town, here is a link for online discounts. I have used this a few times and have saved $50 on my compressor and other parts.

You have to purchase the parts online. I order my parts and select "Pick up at store", order can be pulled and ready for pickup in @1 hour.
