Default Renix water pump

Called the parts store and asked if they had my water pump in stock.

Apparently for the 87 XJ Cherokee there are 3 different ones. All right around $30.

I have noooo idea which one to get. I'd rather not buy all 3 and return the two I don't use.

Could anyone shed some light on the differences and let me know how to tell which one I need?

So basically best bet is to have all 3 available unless I wanna pull stuff off twice to measure, then wait, THEN when stuff is here do the work?

Part Number: BWP-724
Alternate Part Number: B 110-1080
Warranty: Limited Lifetime
Notes: With 2.31" hub height and 3 5/16" diameter hub. Pump is driven off the accessory belt, it is highly recommended that the fan clutch be replaced at the same time as the water pump. *** Extended life antifreeze is highly recommended with this aluminum pump***.

What I would do is pull your old one and take it with you and match them. I try to always take my parts with me since there are too many parts slinger's that have no idea what they are doing anyways.

I believe you want the smaller hub height, the 2.31" at least that's how mine was. But do what was previously mentioned, pull the old one and just compare at the parts store just to be sure.
I think the taller hub height is for the 2.5l 4cyl motor. I just did some research and from the pictures that's what it appears to be like, smaller hub height is for the 4.0l and taller is for the 2.5l

Yeah, that means I gotta make sure to have a 2nd vehicle.

Wife tends to find other things to do when I work in the garage. And its not quite warm enough to guarantee a motorcycle trip.

My wifey spoils me. I'm uber lucky.

I could just make a buddy give me a ride. But at $30 a piece I'll buy both and return one.
