Default renix t-stat housing

i wanna upgrade the stat housing on my remix to one that has the sensor built into it. can i add the flex a lite fan controller to the spot on the housing where the factory sensor went on the housing? also i will be adding a radiator from a 92 with a filler neck for the upgrade. if the radiator i get has no plug for the sensor in the radiator can i just leave it unplugged and all the gauges on the dash will read correctly?

It'll fit ONLY if the male threads on the sensor r the same as the female threads on the stat housing. I believe the OE rad sensor is for the OE efan only.......no effect on the OE temp gauge.

Should work if you choose that route just make sure fans pull same or more cfm then factory set up. Many have eliminated factory fans and had overheating issue because aftermarket fans didn't move enough air.

Food for thought, you can use the late model sensor in the T-housing and make a jumper harness from the factory wiring to the sensor. Can still run all OE parts just note the year of the sensor you are using.

The male threads on the Flex-a-Lite controller sensor must match the female threads in the stat housing. Do they? Is the Flex-a-Lite controller amp rating high enough? Did u see the DeRale dual fan controller link I post in your other thread?

The stat housing would be a good spot to locate the sensor but again, it's a moot point if the threads on the controller sending unit don't match the threads in the stat housing.

Straight blade, curved blade makes no difference.....use the one that moves the most CFM. If u can't determine the aftermarket fan CFM rating, don't take the chance. Factory OE efan moves something like 2300 CFM and the OE mechanical fan, with a good fan clutch, will move way more air than the OE efan at just above idle speed. The OE XJ radiator design is the weak link in the cooling system, not the fans.

The aftermarket fans I found do 1700cfm each off eBay. If I use stock aux fan and run two of them can I use then ten blade one I have found parts geek?

I don't see any aftermarket 10" fans at Jeg's or Summit rated at 1700 CFM and would be very skeptical of a ebay fan making that claim. Two OE efans won't move as much air as the factory efan/belt fan set-up. Again, the factory fan set-up is not the weak link.... it's the rad design. If u r going to experiment with rad fans, make sure u have a good quality aftermarket temp gauge installed.
