Yea, the "real deal" will even eat metal if you go too long. Oh, the temp sensor, (CTS I guess), a while back a guy, CPTslackass had some odd stuff and needed to leave his unplugged. He had checked it, even replaced it, but the only thing that worked was to leave it unplugged. Later he found mice had chewed his wiring. I thought it would be an easy thing to try since you have black smoke and nothing else is working.

I just very momentarily, put 12 volts to my injectors while I blasted, I think starting fluid through. Waz all I had......12 is more than they get, even a 9 volt battery might do it. Sorry I can't be more helpful, I just don't have allot of experience there. (ask me a Carb question!)

I'm starting to suspect the map itself may be bad...Also, just to make sure, the map is plugged into the Tb in the upper port, not the lower port, right?

I apologize to the renix gods and powers that be for my blundering inability to think of simple solutions lol...now im just back to a high idle issue, I didn't put a new gasket on the Tb mounting surface so...no shocker there

 

Man, if you hadn't mentioned which hole the MAP tube was in, we'd still be scratching our heads!!

I do a mod that eliminates the vacuum source from the TB and puts it on the intake manifold. Also requires relocating the IAT to the air cleaner box.
