I noticed a smell of gasoline in my oil when I just changed it. This issue started when I installed the Bosch 746 injectors. I even emailed the guy at the time but it wasn't too bad then so I brushed it off. This time I got the Bosch 703's with a lifetime warranty. We'll see how it goes.
I replaced the harness side plug on my TPS, no big deal, basic soldering skills and shrink tubing. Just make sure you always keep as much slack as you can when you cut your wires. That way if you have any redoes now or in the future, you don't have to sweat it.
Where did you source said plugs? Just curious if one is better than the other I guess. I just ordered new plugs off rock auto for the TPS, CPS and IAT. The originals look worse for wear and I know the CPS is bad as previously stated.
I suspect a few plugs have been messed with so much they may all be loose inside all causing multiple issues.

That plug for the TPS I just got at a junkyard. I just ordered a new plug for my o2 sensor from eBay, cheapest one they had. Usually there's not much of a difference in aftermarket quality from one to the other. I added the new injectors, and the REM said it's running rich now. o2 sensor wasn't functioning properly, replaced it and it's still not functioning properly. The harness side connector on the o2 sensor was absolute crap. I'm going to replace that then see what happens.
often, poeple stop posting when they find the solution.
Insanely frustrating it is too!! It seems rare to actually find a thread that has a solution. At least as far as the 100’s of post I’ve read regarding this particular subject.
Does this mean I’m not longer “stock” and am about to get moved? Lol
while I’m waiting on the rest of the stuff to come in, I figured I’d go ahead a raptor line the TurD. Should be down with that Friday or so. I’ll soldier in the new plugs this weekend along with the upgraded fuel injectors.
Replaced the injectors, soldiered in new TPS, MAP and CPS plugs. She is doing a LOT better now! Even took it out on the freeway today. No dying at stop lights, idles pretty good now too.
Another stupid noob question though. I pulled it back into my garage and noticed a mess of white smoke coming from the drivers side front wheel well. The rim was hot as hell. It appeared the smoke was originated from the brake pads. I assumed maybe a stuck caliper or something however, when I lifted the driver side, the tire seems to spin free enough. THAT is when I noticed the front drive was spinning too. SH*T, I had the CAD engaged 🤦♂️ ( front drive shaft isn’t installed currently ) The vacuum actuated set up was replaced with the mechanical type. I assumed “pulled out” was disengaged. Clearly I was wrong on that, I pushed it in now the wheel spins freely of course lol I how I did fry anything.
Would that make since for the driver side wheel to get all kinds of hot from that? I was on the freeway for all of about 3-5 min. Running about 65mph. I assume that would explain the need for extra skinny pedal to keep up at that speed. I feel so dumb lol
lastly, while I was waiting on the parts. I raptor lined the buggy, she looks a lot better now I think.
Thanks to everyone for the help! Here’s a few pics.
That would make sense, weird it’s not pulling or anything. Just drove it again a little longer and it didn’t do it this time. I don’t know, I’ll tear into the brakes again soon. Good to know The CAD wasn’t an issue. I make joke that the cad **** is my “mixture” to my pilot buddy's, just got to remember to keep it “full rich” lol
“Mixture” / CAD
Thanks Cruiser for all the stuff you’ve put out there over the years, it’s all been invaluable to me. I’ve completed almost all your tips and I expect this thing might actually be a good, reliable ride for awhile once I get all the little bugs worked out. It is a little over whelming at first. I feel like once you get a feel for what all the sensors do and how they play there parts, it makes it easier. I’m sure you know that!
Off to complete Crusier tip # 19 now 🤙
