renix and OBD

ok kinda new to this site and the internet as well. country boy not big on electronics lol. but a proud jeep owner. on hear i keep hearing the terms renix and OBD I and OBD II. can some one tell me what these mean?

If you have a '93 you have OBD I which flashes a light to inidcate electronic faults. OBD II has a port to plug a scanner tool into, and was on the '96 and newer XJs.

Your 93 would be OBD1
RENIX is 87-90
OBD1 is 91-95
OBD2 is 96-01
