Default removing rear speakers

Just a quick question how do you remove the rear speakers in a 1996 Cherokee 4dr. There both mount on the ceiling in a bar but I didnt notice any screws or anything and dont want to wreck it.

Thanks,

Andrew

I have never messed with the speakers that are mounted up top. But I would assume if you pop the covers off then you will find some screws. Also you may have to pull the sided trim pieces off to get the screws there.

Good luck let us know what you find and we LOVE pics here on CF.

If your just running them off your head unit, the cleanest ones I've heard are JL's entry level ones...they should be around 100 a pair

they are easy to remove, like what was said before, just pop the covers off and take out the screws, i think that there is 4 of them. oh and there is the wire connection on back that needs to be unplugged. i painted my covers black while i had them off.

My '00 and the couple '99's that I have taken parts off of have 2 torx. Thinking it was a T15 or a T20 maybe.
