Removing intake manifold seeming inpossible
So the 2 bolts underneath that are closest to the firewall I cant get to. I can feel one of them I cant even find the other. The damn abs booster is in the way of my wrench and there are 6,000 cords wires and connectors in my way. I cant get them from underneath since the exhaust mani is in the way, and that wont even come off untill I can get the intake off. Whats the trick? To be an expert contortionist? Seriously screw diamler engineers. But hey I wouldnt even be doing this in the first place if they would have cast a proper cyl head.

I just removed my intake and exhaust manifold twice in 2 days. It can be done but it takes some universal joints on your socket. I put in a new header only to find out it wouldn't fit, so I had to do it all again.

You can remove it without any universals. I like to get the top bolts first plus the frontmost 2 on the bottom. I believe you can get the back one from the top too. If you crawl under your jeep you can get the others with a 6"extension. You can get them from the top but if I recall you must have the ratchet handle pointed down as if you were doing it from underneath.

Well i finally got it. Not looking forward to trying to put it back on. It required me to bend my arm in 5 different directions but it worked haha.

Should've been easy for an octupus Glad you got it out tho. After it's all back together and you've driven it a week or so, re-check all those manifold bolts for tightness. They like to loosen up a bit from hot cold hot cold.
