Default Removing ABS

So a few days ago i went with my buddy and picked up a 98 4.0 5 speed with 140k miles for 2500 bucks, few small things wrong but runs great. The ABS light is on most likely from a sensor or what not but i heard for off roading and crawling ABS is something you dont want to have. So is it a good idea to remove the whole system with the master brake cylinder and everything to a setup that runs without it? has anyone heard of something like this or can help? thanks

and this is a pic of both of ours jeeps,

Well looks like he posted it for me instead of just telling me where to post it since I'm new. Any who, any help is appreciated!

Check your fuses. You should have a ABS fuse, if it isnt already pulled out, pull it out to get rid of the ABS. There is no reason to swap out the booster and all that jazz. However if you pull the fuse/its burnt out it will make the light in the dash come on so maybe somebody beat you to it.

I did this to my dd and have no lights or problems but you need to pull the relays under the hood to do this right.
