This sounds really dumb, but, how do you remove the shifter handle on an AT

Pull!

Put it in drive or 1 or 2 or whatever is comfortable and pull. Don't smack yourself in the face.

I was laughing because believe it or not, I broke my nose doing this at work. The car came through our line because the shifter was cracked. Went to replace it and SMACK!! crooked nose for life

Yep....kinda smacked it up from underneath, popped myself right in the forehead....also did it the 2nd time...3rd time i finally learned to move my head...when it pops off, its MOVING!
