Mine are black inside the spokes also. I think that looks good.

There are several problems I see here that you might want to correct. Lets start with the rear. Spacer blocks above 2" are not generally used on XJs because the stock spring flexes too much and you get axle wrap. However you have put in a stiffer spring, so it might be OK. Your brake line however needs to be extended. Since it is no longer supported, it will eventually crack or break off and you will loose your rear brakes. Also, did you extend your shocks? If not you will take the end off the piston eventually. You also need to properly bump stop the rear.

In the front, are those stock shocks? If they are, they will suffer the same fate as the rear shocks and also break the brake line and you will loose your front brakes. You need to extend your front bump stop so the coil cant fall out when the shock breaks and your brakes fail. Also you need to extend your sway bar links.

I'm just wondering what and how much you were drinking when you..

A) thought this lift was a good idea.

B) thought it was a good idea to post this on here so other newbies can see it and think its a good lift for theirs?

Damn! I'll have to put some pictures on here of my 89 comanche that has a home brew 7 inch lift in it. I'd catch heck being it has an IH leaf spring suspension in the front

C) Said that you would not recomend this to anyone without fabrication skills when it is apparent that the lift was built without any skills what so ever.

Those are Fab skills? you cut a hole in some steel blocks and used them as coil spacers....

The airbox is funny but i like the re-groved tires myself....priceless

Looks like you have the tools and knowhow to make a sick jeep but make it safe and something you can really be proud of...

This is what gives lifted trucks a bad name

Longer brake lines, bump stops, and replace your "blocks" With my 3 year old sons ABC wood building blocks - now you got a rig!!! WOW, stay off the street. I must say (no joking) I really do like your snorkle - awesome for a mud truck, very resoursful indeed.

i do plan on driving it on the street. but putting different coils in it sometime and not driving it that high up, the tires are groved, and they work awesome, the air box is out of an early 90's f-150 but not going to be mounted there, i would trust this thing anyday,i wheel it alll the time and never had a problem out of it, it just looks wiered b/c i cut off the bottom of the bump stop on the front. the brake lines are plenty long, i have 2 cherokees with 6in. redneck lift and stock brake lines never broke 1. and who needs sway bars... seriously just a lil body roll
