Redneck lift 2
this is the repost of the 6in. redneck lift thread that was 9 pages long and people ruined it. here are the pic's again of what i did to my 86 cherokee chief. i wouldn't recomend this to anyone that does not have fabrication skills or someone that is using their rig for street use.

Ok guys they are not good looking but the only thing that can happen there is that they collapse and it loses the lift, it's not like in the rear where you lose the axle because of the U bolts coming loose...

im way more affraid the coils will pop out and the jeep will slam the front fenders on the tires, sending him into traffic where im drinking my starbucks in my safe jeep that i saved up and bought coils for.

i have never paid more than $50 for a pair of 3" coils
and my jeep is safe.
when your suspension compresses each coil will compress on one another causing the spring to deform and possibly pop out. having to whip out the hi lift every time you hit a hard bump or flex out on the trail is not fun. they will also sag in no time from being over compressed.

Apart from the redneck lift, i must say i love the black stripe with the cherokee chief writing and the rims have been painted black inside the holes, i thought i was the only one that did that...
much more interesting for me would be to know what has been done to the tires, between the blocks.
And wtf does that air box do on the roof?

yeah they are being held on the axle side....but what about the body side. have you ever seen someone lose a coil on the trail? pops out and falls right onto the inside of the tire. do this on the street and you prob gonna spill my starbucks......then its war!!!!
i dont have visions of life. only visions of death in this situation!!
i may be pessimistic, but hay, my jeep is safe and im prob not gonna die in it.
im off to work.......
