So I bought a jeep that was wrecked in the front. I had to sawaza off the front bumper but now like the look of no bumper (until i can get a proper off-roading stinger bumper) but have no front recovery points.

I've seen some people that cut themselves a d-ring that pops through stock bumper that connects to bumper frame bracket but don't see any companies that make these.

Basically I want to cut a piece of metal that I will be able to bolt to the Frame using the 3 bolts that normally bolts the front bumper on.

Then i want one more hole in that sticks out of the frame that will allow me to put a Shackle on.

Can any of you awesome DIY people send me pictures, measurements, and anything else that may help me on my road to FRONT RECOVERY POINTS.

I've attached a photo of my vehicle (no bumper) and a photo of a replacement bumper bracket to show the 3 holes but I'm sure you all know about what i speak of.

 

I'm no expert on front recovery points but I'm pretty sure it's better to use more then just the 3 bumper holes to mount a recovery point, you need to tie the recovery point into the unibody.its pretty frowned upon to use just the 3 bumper holes cause you can rip those right out

 

TEACH ME OBI-WAN How can I do this without a front bumper? I have seen the front Hitch but eventually i will get a real bumper.

Put a plate runnin along the frame. Bolt it on in 5 places that are already there. Then Attach a d ring. Kinda like this

This...they use the factory bumper3holes and then additional holes back into the unibody for added strength. You can order them from a place like this. (JCR) or if you have access to metal (like 1/4in. Thick) and way of cutting, you can make your own

Your google link didn't work but i do understand. If i have exact measurements then i can take those to Metal by the Foot and have them cut exactly what i need.

 

Well the google link was more so you could just see different types. Just google image search "jeep xj front unibody tie in brackets" and you can se different types by different company's and what not. You get the idea
