Default Recommend procedure - no start car in 2 months

For various reasons I have not started my car in two months.

Aside from battery concerns is there anything people would recommend me doing for a first start or preparation for first start?

1996 XJ 4L 198,000 miles original owner

Thanks ahead of time.

Check the fluids, make sure the battery has full charge. Turn key to run position for 5 seconds twice to prime fuel and then start it.
Let it warm up to operating temperature.

Check oil and make sure it isn't lumpy and is still good to go. I don't think gas goes bad that quick.

2 months is nothing. Just turn the key and start it.

This. 2 months isn't that long. The gas might be old and it could run a little poor but in all likeliness everything will be fine.

Mine had set for 7 years before I bought it, just put a little oil in the cylinders and cranked it. Probably need to overhaul it some time with the sludge it has in it, but that comes next. After I can get it running again after this no spark problem lol.

Thanks for all the replies.

So, consensus is I do not have to put oil down the cylinders - not long enough down time?

Shouldn't be necessary, we have farm trucks that sit longer than that and we just start them up as if they were started yesterday.
