I run power trax lock rite from richmond gear. D30Disco w/posilok cable front, D35 (preCclip) rear, 3:55 stock, 31 x 10.5 - 15, 3.5lift. And my 35 is working just fine. If I really trashed it on the trails it would die, seen it happen to friends, just keep a cool head and don't get rammy. If you are "semper fi" then you can keep your cool when the situation comes.
The Power Trax really work and they are really friendly to my on road time and don't drive me crazy in the winter. Highly recommended.
I could use 4:10 but that would be plenty for my 31's. If you are going 33 and plan to serious offroad over time you will end up with at least 35's and will need a High 4 to low 5 ratio to be happy. You will also need every one of those 29 splines and may have a new 44 or 60 rear in your future. It's getting rammy that usually puts the diff into problems. Keep your bearings and seals fresh and lubed, replace your lube if you get into a weekend of water crossings.
