In researching how to fix a dead wiper motor as my front ones no longer spray and I already checked the fuse, I began to think about my long disconnected (due to breaking) rear washer fluid system. The water comes out, but the plastic nozzle that connects to the center, or at least i think it's the center, of the wiper blade broke and disappeared.
I can't seem to find anywhere online that sells, all searches come up with hose, front sprayers, or how to fix the hose mount videos.
However informative this video may be for full reinstall of the wiper setup, unfortunately it does not mention what the piece I'm looking for is called, nor can i really see what the piece looks like in it's entirety, but I do see it from the top attached the wiper blade arm. Its not the piece where the hose connects to the Jeep, it's the piece at the end of the hose that shoots the water out in a guided direction. Right now mine just dribbles out onto the blade and only 1/4 of my rear window gets wet. The piece is seen in the center of this pic with the shiny pin through it. Though being this an 89 model, I'm not sure if it would be the same design for an 01.
truth be told I found a complete arm setup that looks like it comes with an attached nozzle, but would still like to know if there was somewhere I could get just the nozzle so to avoid having to pay for parts I don't need.
It's going to be a junkyard only part.
I actually have been needing one for about 4 years, and every single time I go to the junkyard I forget to grab one!!
a friend of mine found it on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/17282423782...m=172824237826, and it turns out one of the arms you can buy on rock auto might come with it attached, but I didn't feel like swapping the whole unit out.
Anyway, i bought the piece, and it doesn't even work right. With the way it sprays I'm wondering if it came from a left to right arm (if that's even a thing) vs a normal right to left arm. I get better window coverage without the nozzle on! Fiddled around with it some more and poked a pin through all the holes in case there was a clog and even tried blowing into it but just popped my ears instead. No luck.
