anyone have or made up a rear recovery point for there xj? my hitch is rusted out and i need a cheap fix so i can have a rear recovery point.

My class III trailor hitch is my rear recovery point. 8 bolts straight to the frame. This baby is stout.

yeah im lookin for cheap tho like cheap and i like the tow hook look too

my friend pulled me out with his leaf springs, i know your not suppose to but it worked thank god

Never heard of such an animal, on an XJ, as a factory rear tow hook.

Yeah there rare but some did have. A them guy in my neighborhood has one along with a gas tank skid. One of these days im gonna ask him about it

why dont you just put a D ring or two right on your bumper, in line with where it bolts straight to the frame? Its cheap and goes right to the frame...?

You will rip the bumper right off XJ bumpers are pretty weak

basicly 3 bolts on each side bolted to a little strip of the unibody. there just like the front bumper. I wouldn't try it.

the only think i can think of is fabbing up a braket that ties into the frame where the bumper does
