My rear speakers are not working I got in the car this morning and there is just static coming out the back it increases if I turn up the volume and decrease when I turn it down. It was not like that yesterday. I put the speakers in last year and they have been working good since then until now. I did put in a new head unit about a month ago and everything was working fine and has been until yesterday. All my other speakers work and my head unit is working good.

Static that changes with volume, on both rears only, usually means the rear channels on the head unit died, or the RCA cables came loose. Since you changed the head unit a month ago, pull it out and check the rear speaker connections. A loose ground wire at the harness can cause static too. If the wiring is solid, the rear channels on the internal amp are toast. Swap the front and rear speaker wires briefly at the back of the head unit. If the static moves to the front, the head unit is bad. If the static stays in the rear, your speaker wire is pinched or shorting to metal somewhere along the run.
