What size shocks come stock on the XJ

By "size" do you mean collapsed and extended lengths?

If so the KYB MonoMax rear shock (R565054) on my stock XJ measured 19.8" extended and 12.98" collapsed.

Depends on whether it's lifted or not. You need to provide more info.

What size shocks come on a STOCK xj. No lift. STOCK

According to the rep at Bilstein I talked with recently, the length on those 4600 rears is 13.58" collapsed and 22.09" extended. For what it's worth.

Scroll down towards the bottom and there is a spec area that talks about various data on the shock including collapsed and extended length.
