Anyone running these shocks that have the coil spring? I'm having a tough time getting them installed due to their uncompressed length. I'm using bar pin eliminators which adds and inch or so to the overall lenth and they hang about two inches from the lower mount. That's with the suspension hanging freely. I'm wondering if I unbolt the rear sway bar if that will alow the suspension to drop some more? Another option is to devise some way to compress the shocks safely until I can get them slipped onto the lower mount. Coil spring compressors are too big to use and I'm thinking some sort of strong ratchet strap method. I've tried a floor jack as well with no luck given the angle they are at. Any advice?

jack up the jeep and put on jack stands. Support the axle with a floor jack if you have one, unbolt the shackle at the rear of the spring. lower the axle, keep an eye on your brake line so it doesn't get tight and break. You should be able to get the 2 inches you need easy. After the shocks are in, jack up the axle and your jeep weight should hold it down just dandy while you bolt the shackles back up.
or find some creepy way to compress the springs. I've never had a jeep with a rear swaybar, but i'm kinda doubting its limiting your travel that much. It should only limit side to side unless the links are really short...

heres a couple of pics of my rear air shock installed

if you can tell, the e brake cable is a lil melted form the pipes, but after the air shocks were installed and at 110 psi the got melted kinda bad so now i only run them at 70-95 psi now. 70 when im not hauling anything, and 95 when i pick up hay and other feed for my lil farm.
