Default rear shock bolt Question Help Needed!

I have a 94 cherokee 5spd and I was replacing shocks on it and realized the nut is completely wasted. I am going to do the cut the floor and put the bolts down from above thing, but i need to know the size of bolts to use! Thanks

Don't bother cutting holes in the floor. if you broke the studs already, just hit them out with a air chisel or a hammer and punch, get the right size bolt and tape it to a box end wrench and fish it through from the triangle shaped hole in the unibody ( get under there, you'll see what I mean) There's a write up on NAXJA. I did the whole thing in about 20 minutes! Much easier and no damage to your floor.
I think they are 13mm. I used 1.5" bolts and had plenty of room to run a nut up there to lock it in place, then the shock gets bolted right up and doesn't touch the body. 1 year later, no rattles and I could remove them any time.

Agreed. Some persistance and you can get the bolts in. That flange also provides a bit of reinforement. I wouldn't cut that out unless the flange and floor are both heavily rusted.
